Carib Sands guests will enjoy exploring Cayman Brac's underwater scenery in comfort and safety. Reef Divers operates one of its new 42' Newton dive boats from the Carib Sands dock. Carib Sands Beach Resort offers a choice of one, two, or three-bedroom units. All units overlook the pool and also have an ocean view. The complex features a large, beach-front pool area, landscaped grounds, an exercise room and a dock pavilion which offers an exceptional view of Cayman Brac's spectacular sunsets. All units feature central air conditioning, ceiling fans and cable television. The kitchens are fully equipped with full-size appliances and also have microwaves and coffee makers for your convenience. Ground floor units have a private poolside patio while the second and third floor units have large balconies overlooking the pool or beach. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with a queen sized bed, a large closet, night tables and chest-of drawers. Unique on Cayman Brac, this is a personalized, small-scale bed and breakfast hotel that's more richly decorated, more elegant, and more appealing than you might have thought. Originally the home of a sea captain, it was moved to a less exposed location and rebuilt from salvaged materials shortly after the disastrous hurricane of 1932. Set on 3 acres of land on the island's north shore, within a lush garden that's ripe with breadfruit, a hardy species of mango, and a local species of edible fruit known as guenup, it contains such intriguing touches as a banister salvaged from the mast of a 19th-century schooner. The most desirable accommodations are on the upper floor, partly because of their narrow balconies that encompass views of the sea. No meals are served other than the full American breakfasts that are included in the price. Your hosts are Brooklyn-born Lynne Walton and her husband, George. They retired to George's native Cayman Brac, opting today to run the most charming hotel on the island.

Beacon Harbor

Spend your vacation in a remote, tropical paradise at Beacon Harbor on Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands. Scuba dive and snorkel off the beach in front of your two bedroom air-conditioned vacation home. Relax and enjoy a panoramic view of the Caribbean from your deck or explore the island for a memorable adventure. Our two vacation homes are located on the North Side beach just east of Stake Bay. Our caretaker will meet you at the airport when you arrive, and deliver you and your luggage to your home. A tank rental and a short snorkel swim from your beach home will put you onto some World Class dive spots. You can also arrange dive trips or certification classes through one of the dive shops on the island. Each vacation home features quiet central air and ceiling fans. A telephone, TV/VCR with satellite service, and CD player are available for your use. Two bedrooms with queen sized beds and a large living room with a queen sized hide-a-bed will comfortably accommodate up to six guests. Each home has a full bath. All towels and linens are provided. The fully equipped kitchen is meant to encourage you to prepare a lot of your own meals. You are close to a nice grocery store just around the corner in Stake Bay. The variety, quality, and relative cost of groceries may pleasantly surprise you. We don’t imply you shouldn’t go out to eat; there are several excellent restaurants nearby. A separate washer and dryer room is located on the landing outside the front door for your convenience. The downstairs area includes a carport, a gear wash-down tank, an outside shower, and toilet facilities. Also available are a Weber grill, picnic tables, and hammocks. Your private storeroom is conveniently located at the base of the stairs.
