Castaways Beach Hotel |

Castaways is
located about 1.5 miles north of the mouth of the Layou
River, between the small villages of St. Joseph and Mero
and 25-minute drive down the coast will put you at the
Cane field Airport and the capital city of Roseau. The 26
rooms of the hotel are set in a lush, tropical garden on a
beautiful gray sand beach. One of the finest in Dominica.
The five acre grounds of the hotel are the home to many
interesting flora and fauna, including many species of
birds, iguanas, traveler palms, mango trees and more. The
attractive and spacious accommodations offer calming
Caribbean views from the balcony of every room. After a
day of hiking, sightseeing, bird watching or diving, it is
a pleasure to return to Castaways and enjoy the warm
reception of the resort. Relax and sunbathe on the beach,
or for those still having energy, a game of horseshoes or

restaurant, Rum Barrel Bar and Castaways Beach Bar are the

the particular blends of spices and flavors of produce

locals alike as they are able to enjoy grilled lobster,
fish or the best ribs on the island. The beach at

Calibishie
Lodges is a charming retreat, built in a typical Caribbean
style one of the best Dominica island hotel. Located North
East of Dominica with spectacular views inland, to the
forested mountains, northward across the Guadeloupe
channel to that island. The village is surrounded by
bananas and coconut plantations, and in this area you find
the white sand beaches of the island. The lodges is an
ideal place, only 15 minutes from the Melville Hall
airport and situated on a hill at the beginning of a
friendly village “Calibishie”, that gives you the pleasure
of viewing the village and the Atlantic Ocean. All our
lodges are generous with spectacular views and comprise a
double bedroom; living room, bathroom with bath, shower, a
fully equipped kitchenette and large balconies. Each lodge
also contains ceiling fans, cable TV, mosquito screens and

The Fort Young
Hotel is situated within walking distance of Roseau,
overlooking the Caribbean, approximately 35-minutes driving
distance from the nearest beach. Occupying a cliff-side
setting, this modern hotel grew from the ruins of the 1770
Fort Young, once the island's major military installation.
Traces of its former historic role remain, including
cannons at the entrance. The Hotel is overlooking the
Caribbean Sea - cradled in the beauty of Dominica's
mountainous landscape, is the Fort Young Hotel, Dominica's
premier Hotel. The Fort Young Hotel is ideally suited to
both the business and the leisure traveller. The Hotel have
70 Guest Rooms and suites, fully air-conditioned and with
ceiling fans, direct dial telephones, Cable TV, terrace/
balcony. Fort Young had a recently completed oceanfront
expansion luxurious and spacious Guest rooms with lounge
area or Suites offering separate living room, whirlpool
tub, kitchen facilities (with microwave and fridge), large
balcony with expansive view of the Caribbean sea. Hotel
amenities include duty free shops, dive shop, business
center, sun terrace, health and beauty center, conferencing
facilities which include one VP Meeting room that seats up
to twenty persons and a conference room which seats up to

drinks and dining are available at Marquis de Bouille,
Waterfront Restaurant is in a candlelit room with stone
walls and wooden rafters. The Jamaican chef draws on his
homeland for inspiration and is also an expert at regional
