The Exuma islands are a string of islands and cays that form a pearl necklace of long forgotten hideaways, natural harbors and secluded beaches, that span over a hundred miles of clear blue water--a new island for every day of the year. The Exuma chain comprises about 360 or more cays, that stretch for about 130 miles beginning 30 miles southeast of New Providence. Home to the Bahamas National Trust’s Exuma National Land and Sea Park one of the largest underwater and land preserves, Exuma is a nature lover's paradise kept in its original pristine setting. The Park consists of underwater limestone and coral reefs, drop-offs, blue holes, caves and marine life, and is home to the Bahamian iguana, a giant lizard-like creature. Exuma's capital, Georgetown was once suggested to be the capital of The Bahamas because of its Elizabeth Harbor, which has a draft of 16 feet and made Exuma a favorite haunt for pirates.

Peace and Plenty

The Club is a beautiful 32 room resort, including 3 two-room suites, overlooking Elizabeth Harbor. Room choices include Harbor water front view, pool side, Garden suites, or two-room suites. All rooms include air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-fridge, hair-dryer, private bath, and in room satellite television. The hotel's Gourmet restaurant offers local cuisine including Grits with breakfast and Conch burgers for lunch. The dinner menu ranges from steak to seafood including Grouper, a local favorite. The Club offers two bars. Our 'Pool Deck' bar is tended by Lerman "Doc" Rolle. Inside is the 'Slave Kitchen' bar tended by Glen Munroe and is air-conditioned. Since the Club is right in the middle of town, you are close to grocery shopping, site seeing and fun activities including sail boat rental, snorkeling, diving and motorboat rental. Twice a week (Friday & Monday) the Club sponsors a cocktail party for their guests. Other nights can include live Calypso music and dancing, Karaoke, or an Elvis impersonator. The Club is Exuma's gathering place for the townspeople and visitors from all over the island. Coconut Cove

Set about 1.8km (1 mile) west of George Town -- on a sea fronting plot of land that's dotted with groves of coconut palms and palmettos and host to a brackish saltwater pond favored by bird life this is the most recent, much-renovated incarnation of a hotel that has stood here for at least 20 years. Designed with three wings that radiate out from a central core, much like the shape of an airplane propeller. Coconut Cove is an intimate and romantic island get-away...an oasis nestled in palm groves and lush tropical flora. The ultimate location to revitalize mind, body, and spirit. The atmosphere is serene and one of casual elegance. Accommodations include eleven air- conditioned beach front and beach side rooms with private terraces. All rooms have private baths.
