Los Roques...National Park

A National Park, The Archipelago Los Roques is located 85 miles north of Caracas and 180 miles West of Margarita Island, it was declare "National Park" in 1972, this Park has over 50 islands and keys of coral reef origin. The park is divided in different zones with some restricted areas use for the preservation and reproduction of  many types of animals and birds. White coral sand beaches, crystal clear blue-green waters, and incredible underwater scenery are the perfect setting to enjoy snorkeling, wind surfing or swimming.

Upon arrival at the departing Airport you will proceed to the counter where you will be checked by our personnel who will indicate to you the departing gate, time and will introduce you with the Tour Guide who will give you detail information about the Tour.

After a short flight from Porlamar (Margarita Island) you will be able to see the Western side of Margarita Island and will fly over "La Restinga Lagoon" also a National Park of Venezuela that join the Island through an Isthmus to the Western side of the Island. Just a few minutes after you will be able to see "La Orchila" another Island belonging to Venezuela and finally you will be landing at "Gran Roque" the only big rock that surface above the sea level.

After paying the National Park entrance fee, you will be taking to our boat to navigate to "Francisqui del Medio", where our typical beach restaurant is located and there underneath our umbrellas you can enjoy of our beach cocktails, beers and sodas. You will be given a diving mask and fins to proceed with our next activity of Snorkel at "La Piscina", The Pool in English, located in Francisqui de Arriba after a short trip by boat. At "La Piscina" you will be delighted with the many different species of fish and corals experience that you will never forget !!

Once Snorkeling has finished you will return to "Francisqui del Medio" where your lunch will be waiting at our Beach Restaurant. Before returning to "El Gran Roque" we will stop at "Cayo Pirata", this is the most important Lobster distribution to Venezuela, here we take a walk to 'Madrizqui" through a thin and shallow isthmus that link the two keys. At "Madrizqui" our boat will be waiting to take us back to "El Gran Roque", here we will walk through its main plaza "Plaza Bolivar" and there you can see the typical architecture of this very small town. Our Aircraft will be awaiting to take us back to "Margarita", once you arrive in Margarita's Airport our Tour Guide will be awaiting to take you back to your Hotel and then you can tell everybody about this wonderful full day experience with us in this unique place in the world.
